Does any of this sound like you?
I never have enough time for myself
I really need to lose weight, but just can’t get a handle on my eating
I feel guilty all the time – seems like I’m never doing enough
I know I should be exercising, but…[insert excuse here!]
I’m starting to feel hot flashes, night sweats and other menopause symptoms
I feel kind of blah, and don’t look as vibrant as I’d like to when I see myself in the mirror
If you resonate with any of these statements -- welcome to the world of busy women over 40. I hear from so many women I talk to that they never have time for themselves, that their own needs get put on the back burner as they juggle the demands of home, work, spouse, kids, pets, parents, you name it. Overcommitted, under-rested, feeling less than healthy, sexy and vibrant. And feeling guilty about never doing enough.
Here’s the thing – it doesn’t have to be this way.
You do have a choice!
It’s time to start feeling amazing. It’s time to stop feeling stuck.
It’s time to put excuses to rest. It’s time to put yourself first.
It’s time to remember that you have a great deal more to accomplish in your life, and you want to have the energy and vibrant health to do it.
It’s time to realize that “the best is yet to be” – the second half of your life can be fun, rocking, sexy, healthy, strong, adventurous, joyful, delicious and nutritious in every way.
It’s time to let go of what no longer serves you.
It’s time to get to know the warrior goddess within you.
It’s time to let your life shine
Finally, you've come to the right place! While most dieticians dwell on calories, carbs, fats, proteins, restrictios and lists of 'good' and 'bad' foods, I use food as a jumping off point, and work with my clients to create a healthy, happy, hot "whole" life in a way that is flexible, fun and free of denial and discipline.
There's no one size fits all when it comes to matters of health. A diet or exercise regimen that worked for you in the past might not serve you now, based on changes in your life, or even in the seasons. A true holistic approach to life incorporates things that nourish you other than food, including things like honest and open relationships, a spiritual practice you feel connected to, a career that inspires you, and physical activity that makes you want to move and feed your soul and your hunger for living. I call these things Primary Food, and I work with you to help find balance in all of these areas. You’ll learn to tune into your body’s innate wisdom, find clarity about what really nourishes you, and move closer to the balance that’s essential for accomplishing all you were put here to do.
Could one conversation change your life? When was the last time you talked with someone about your health and received the personal attention you deserve? I invite you to a consultation with me to discuss your concerns and goals for your health, and what you have always imagined for your life. This session is a great way for you to get a feel for how I work with clients and to see if we are a good match.
